The first part of this raid is entirely rideroid. It kind of plays like starfox, if any of you know what that is. There’s a time limit to finish this part. Finishing off Mother and dying 5 times or less will get you all the points from this section.
Controls
Rideroid controls are weird and take some getting used to because the moving isn’t very sensitive. During the fight the rideroid will move you forward and turn bends by itself. Just ignore the turns and picture yourself going down a very long straight tunnel when figuring out where to go. Your rideroid will automatically shoot whatever the targer circle is aimed at if you are not too close or too far.
-Left Click: Your stop and go button. One left click stops, a second one makes you go. Do the second left click with the JA circle to boost.
-Right Click: A spin attack. This does the fastest damage and can reflect panels she flings at you.
-1st action bar: Missile attack. It’s a stronger version of the autoshooting that lasts for a few seconds. Doing any other action besides moving stops it. Use this whenever you can if there are not a lot of obstacles
-2nd action bar: Boosts forward for a few seconds. Use this if you fall behind, but be careful not to run into any obstacles.
How to Fight
Mother has four orbs floating around her.

You want to destroy the four orbs to expose a core on her chest and then damage the chest. Keep your target circle on an orb to autoshoot and use missiles whenever you can. Use the boost if you get the warning that you are falling behind. Sending panels back with the spin attack will also stun her briefly so make sure you reflect them instead of dodging. When you get close enough, use the spin attack instead to do lots of damage. Just repeat this a few times and you should be fine. Collect some of the green rings if you need HP or PP along the way.
So anything shiny that shoots out hurts you. Dodging stuff just takes practice and getting use to the depth perception. For me, I die the most from the big walls near the end of the fight that cover half the track. Staying near the middle and looking ahead for obstacles is the best way to go about this. The top tends to have less stuff flying around too, but you can’t damage Mother very well up there.
